ABM US is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near NY, NY

The Associate, FP&A will provide primary analytical support to the New York area. This person will be working closely with our ESC accounting team for our financial close. They will also be working close with our operations team to assist in budgeting and forecasting This is a key position, with interaction at all levels, which requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral, superior analytical, problem-solving and modeling skills and exceptional PC skills

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00. 

The pay listed is the salary range for this position, an estimate and not guaranteed. Any specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Essential Functions:

  • Research, track, and summarize key data, including, trends, profitability, and expense analyses.
  • Maintain, and report on monthly and quarterly operating and financial metrics.a
  • Conduct reports and analysis related to annual budget and quarterly forecasting process.
  • Update forecasting model monthly.
  • Review P&L for variances and advise operations on opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to the month-end close process and submit journal entries.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, related field, or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office 2007 products
  • Analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and execute and deliver key objectives in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with Balance Sheet & Income Statements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to create detailed worksheets.
  • Ability to take direction from supervisors, and aggressively contribute to departmental discussions regarding problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of business and industry trends and applications across all lines of business for competitive analysis.
  • Skills in Access, VBA, or Hyperion would be preferred
